Get Your Shit Together

You can't just let all your hopes and dreams sit inside your head and fester without ever laying them all out and seeing how they fit together.
I used to make lists all the time but have been so busy lately that I figured it's time to come up to the air for a little breather and regain my wits.

Here's just a few things I know I should be doing

Catch up in my college math sequence. This is probably the most important if I want to avoid being in college for the rest of my life. I'm a computer science major. I should be good at math.
I think some good advice I missed out on was, major in what you're good at, not just what you want to be good at. For the lucky ones, those things are the same. For me, well, I don't have too many talents.

Braces. I can't even stress this one enough. It's not that I have terrible teeth. It's worse than that. I have teeth that were just good enough that my parents thought, "oh she doesn't need braces, she's fine."
Currently I can't afford them, and I have to see a regular dentist first.

Start running. I actually enjoy running. I really do. The problem for me is, I don't want to use a treadmill because that's just boring. I like to be outside at any opportunity with nice weather and I have plenty of running space around my campus. The problem is that I don't want to run in heavily populated areas or even sparsely populated areas because I'm too self conscious about running in front of people. It's sad, really.

And less importantly, get a hair cut.  I actually recently cut my long, thinning hair about 6 inches. It's still awfully long but it's a nice length now. I'm getting bored with growing out my bangs though and now I'm wanting to cut 'em again. I just look good with bangs.
I have a large forehead is what I'm getting at here.

So that's just what's on my mind at the moment. I know I started out talking about hopes and dreams and ended up at getting a hair cut, but that's just how my sub par mind gets along.
Xx.

Day One & Initial Inspection

So, I've never kept up with a blog before. I couldn't claim to be an interesting writer or someone that would stand out over countless other beauty and health blogs, but hey, I'm sure someone out there shares my goals and interests and this is just as much for me as them.

ME: I'm 19, one year down of university, and I have less than a year until my roaring, (hopefully) twenties. I've admittedly never been the most confident person and most of that is a result of my appearance.
Not that I'm the ugliest duckling on the pond, or anything. I'm just a perfectionist and I really don't live up to my high expectations for myself. Even just writing that I feel a new sense of empowerment and control over my life, though, and I think this [blog] is a great start.

This lack of self-confidence is one of my reasons for my love of beauty products and self-betterment. I really feel that I have a good, realistic eye for makeup artistry and I'm a good consult for all my friends when they're trying out new things. (There's something I'm trying to do more - complimenting myself. :) )
On another note, I'm also trying to wear less and less makeup by improving my bare skin and body. They always say, the best make-up look starts with beautiful skin.

I do have a goal, and I feel I should share it here -
I would like to lose 60 lbs by April of 2014.
Here's to that. *cheers*

Plans: I'll hopefully be posting a hybrid of beauty reviews, raves, rants, and my weightloss progress here fairly regularly. There may or may not be a bit of video games and poetry to supplement this, but that all depends.
